Like the art museum, the Historical museum of Montenegro is located in Cetinje, in the former government building. It's part of the National museum of Montenegro. There you can familiarize yourself with the history of the country, from antiquity to the present day.
On display is an archeological collection, collections of weapons, decorations, coins, stamps, coats of arms and photos.
Admission fee is 3 Euro.
Alongside the permanent exhibition in the former government building, the Historical Museum also hosts:
- Museum of king Nikola;
- the Biljarda (the museum of kind Peter II Petrovic Njegos);
- a relief map of Montenegro;
- museum-residence of King Peter II Petrovic Njegos;
- the mausoleum of King Peter II Petrovic Njegos at the Lovcen mountain;
- the mausoleum of King Peter II Petrovic Njegos at the Orlov mountain;
- the Church at Chipura.
