St. George's Cathedral in Bar

The ruins of an ancient St. George's Cathedral are locared in Bar's old town.

The cathedral was built in late-XII century in the place of an even older church, from VI-X centuries. In late-XIX century it served as a gunpowder storage facility, which led to its destruction — after a lightning struck the top of the cathedral, the gunpowder ignited and detonated the building.
