The Omerbašića džamija is located in Bar, along the wall of the Old Town. The mosque was built in 1662 under the orders of wealthy merchant Omer-bas.
The building has a simple design, with a minaret and a rectangular foundation. In early-XX century a residential building was built nearby, leading the mosque to get warded off by a stone wall.
Today the Omerbašića džamija is the primary mosque of Bar. Near the mosque, in a small house, lies the grave of Dervis-Hasan — a famous preacher of Islam.
