The palace of the Drago family is located in Kotor, in St. Tryphon's Square in the Old Town.
The palace consists of two parts: northern and souterh. The northern part is made in the Gothic style fit for XIV-XVI centuries. The southern part was built in the XVII century in barocco and renaissance styles.
Drago was a powerful family, bringing the city a lot of famous persons in culture, art, economics and politics. The family owned the palace from XIV to early-XIX century, when it was handed over to the city.
After the 1979 earthquake the Regional institute of cultural preservation relocated there.
