Sahat Kula is a clock tower in the very heart of Herceg Novi. The tower was built during the Ottoman rule and used to announce the hour of daily prayers to the locals. In older times, there was a mosque nearby. Today, the tower functions as a passage between two squares, Nikola Đurković Square and Belavista Square. It is a popular tourist attraction, as well as the town’s centerpiece and symbol.
