On the first Saturday of August in the heart of fairytale Kotor, the International Summer Carnival was held for the eighteenth time. Over the years, the Carnival has become one of the country's traditions and major tourist attractions.
A section of the Adriatic highway by the walls of the Old Town turned into a stage for 27 carnival groups and their amazing decorations and costumes.
The group from FECC — the Association of European Carnival Cities — opened the parade.

The Ćakulona group was one of the largest at the Carnival. There were adults and children, men and women.
Fantasies and dreams of Ancient Egypt from the team of majorettes. They came from the city of Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This group from Kotor was inspired by the infamous "El Día de los Muertos" holiday and created costumes in the appropriate style.

The charity organization “Our Action” presented the God of the sea, Poseidon, furious about humans destroying the sea with plastic.

"Funny Oldtimers", who came from Croatian city of Rijeka, showed off opulent yellow-gold dresses.

The Carnival ended with fireworks and a concert in the Old Town. Everyone had fun and danced until late at night.
